copy of correspondence with the Governor of Hong Kong on the subject of the financial conditions in the Colony.

It appears from the correspondence that arrangements have been made under which the Colony will be provided with funds to the amount of £3,000,000, and that an announcement to that effect has already had a marked effect in restoring public confidence, so much so that the total provided may not in fact be required.
